Excite Music Interview (february 2005)

Hello to people who are watching excite music, I am Shibasaki Kou.

- About the new single Glitter :

First, I took a listen to the music/instrumental, because I was working on a movie and I had enough time to listen to music.
And then I suggested that I would write the lyrics. It had a long while until I had to submit the lyrics.
So, I proceeded it little by little in my way, that was how I completed it.

Since the music itself was kinda mostly completed,that could make me to complete the lyrics rather soon for the theme this time, because the melody was so pop and cheerful, and it made me feel like I was with a light heart.
So, not to mention, I was roughly thinking about making it so too.

Additionally, I was hoping that it would express a heart that doesnt forget a feeling of Glitter in a whole, which is the title of this song. and the lyrics and the music became like this.

- About the each music that is in the Single :

Talking about Glitter, I wanted to draw nowadays women's hearts, including myself.
Since I think women would be fond of the melody from the glitter feeling.
I am hoping that you would like such aspect.

About the 2nd song "iro koi kona yuki" (romance powder snow), I wanted to express something like nothingness or a loss while wishing I could contrast this song and the first song Glitter. I asked let me write its lyrics too and wrote it by myself.

At first, I wanted to write about dead leaves or Autumn, or a scene of falling leaves, but it had changed little by little and what I arrived eventually was something like a North country in Winter, for the theme. And then, I wrote about separations and meeting there, and something like someone to recall memories for the theme.
I hope somehow you would feel a bit like missing somebody or touched.

I wanted the 3rd song "kyuuai" (propose) completely different from the 2nd song.
For its theme, I wrote it so that you would feel although the melody is calm, if you listen to it well, you would might find it stimulating a little bit.

In a relaxing feeling, I would want you to feel a bit of shock/blink too in the song.

- how do you feel about completing Glitter?

After all, because when I met the music, it was in a high level in the completion already,I think I could complete them, not needing to try changing it much.
I think I could made it very close to what I imagined. Also, I think the music video is better than what I imagined.

I think the highlights are costumes and decorations that are totally different than before.
I think they could film the expressions well.

If you get a chance, please pay attention to those things.

- What are you really into these days?

I often read comic books when I am free.
I hadnt really liked bathing only lower half of the body before I used to think I couldnt stand the bore of soaking in a bathtub for 15 minutes. A person can change somehow, I can stay in a tub for a while now.

While I am reading comic books though. I am making a good use of the time while bathing these days also, I like moving the body.

Its Winter now, so I sweat by moving the body, its tennis these days. Its about once a week, and I enjoy it.

- Plans from now :

There isnt really anything decided so far. So, I cant really tell.

Talking about musical aspect, although I have just completed Glitter. I dont feel like I have done things enough. I think more like that I should do more.
I have many things to learn such as ways of expressing things.

I am thinking that I could learn them by making them to take form (what she says is she wants to learn things throughout making CDs, and movies).

In the musical field, I am thinking that I would want to do it in my-pace.
I dont really have concrete goals of mine or purposes for this year 2005.

Yet, I feel a bit like I am getting conservative.
So, I think I should re-consider about the way I work and also how I choose works and also I a bit wonder if there is anything else that I should do.

And also, I think that I dont have to think about it and just keep moving for this year.
